Pithapuram, located in Andhra Pradesh, South India, is the birthplace of Lord Shri Guru Dattatraya.
Lord Dattatraya is the incarnation of the Divine Trinity Brahma, Vishnu and Mahesh-ShivaI visited Pithapuram on 10, 11 & 12th of February, as I wanted to be with the Lord on my birthday.
Sharing my experiences -
1. My birthday fell on Friday. As Thursday is Guru Dattatraya day, I decided to visit on Thursday as well as on Friday. Thursday, 11th happened to be Amavasya. So, l was fortunate to perform normal Poojas as well as the Amavasya pooja
2. On Friday, i.e. my birthday, I performed the poojas for my siblings who had requested me to do the same on their behalf. So was fortunate to perform poojas on both the days.
3. I got the opportunity to carry the Guru Dattatraya palki on two days. On Thursday, there were too many devotees, so had to take turns for the palki rounds. But on Friday, there was only one other devotee who had registered for that day.
4. Different experiences in train travel -
a. Toilets have airplane type flush systems
b. Stations are well painted and clean
c. Co passengers were doing office work
d. Student co passengers were attending classes, reciting poetry in their school class
e. Outside view was lush green. Crops in full bloom, a soothing site for an Mumbai resident
8. Last but not the least -
My this year's birthday date is a palindrome - reads the same backward as well as forward - 12022021
THIS IS THE BEST BIRTHDAY OF MY LIFE in memory, which I shall never forget
